In the dance of therapy,
the rhythm of neuroplasticity guides our steps
reminding us that the brain, like the human spirit, is resilient, adaptable, and capable of crafting new narratives.
But with all of the noise around us, it’s normal to lose touch with our inner song. In its place comes self-doubt, fear, and the overall feeling of being lost.

This is a space to reconnect with your own rhythm.
Pulling from solution-focused, client-centered, and cognitive behavioral orientations, our work together centers around authenticity, sincerity, and compassion.
Hi, I’m Nadia
a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in DC, VA and PA
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about connecting with people. I’ve always loved hearing about what they’re going through, exploring the emotions involved, and providing support whenever I could.
When my own anxiety brought me to therapy as a young adult, I realized it was where I belonged. Therapy felt like home. In that space, I felt safe, validated, and empowered to move through life with courage. I knew I wanted to pursue a path that allowed me to create that space for others.
I went on to receive my Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling from The George Washington University and spent 15+ years in counseling, disability, anxiety, depression, career changes and grief support. I’m also a certified work incentive coordinator (CWIC) for people navigating SSDI/SSI benefits.

As an experienced counselor and second-generation immigrant, I know the complex cultural and societal pressures firsthand.
My own life experiences as a South Asian Guyanese (Indo-Caribbean) living in the US with immigrant parents, played a pivotal role in my mental health journey and shaped my perspective as a therapist.
There are so many things that make up who you are. Your family background, where you grew up, socio-economic status, sexual identity, and so much more. My approach is trauma-informed and person-centered, because I look at the whole person, not just who society wants them to be. I believe you don’t have to put yourself in a box. Our work together is a non-judgmental and open space to show up authentically and laugh and cry through the tough stuff.
Let’s find your own rhythm and dance our way to empowerment together.
Therapy
At the core of my work is a genuine compassion toward you and your journey.
External pressures can come from so many angles. My own experiences give me a unique understanding of how cultural and societal identities shape you as a person.
In therapy, I work with individuals to help cope with trauma, life transitions, depression, anxiety, cultural and religious considerations, relationship dynamics and every day stressors. I integrate multiple modalities stemming from solution focused, client centered and cognitive behavioral orientations to provide support that is tailored to your unique goals.
In our work together, I like to incorporate various wellness practices to compliment traditional therapy methods. We can work together on reframing and targeting our strength through neuroplasticity in our brain.
